Kia ora koutou,

What an awesome turn out this morning for the first annual viewing of Matariki!
We had over 80 people attend, and thanks to Larn Wilkinson we all have a greater knowledge and understanding of the significance of Matariki J
Although we were unable to sight Matariki this morning due to cloud cover, everyone was stoked to be part of the community event, the learning and kai, especially with hot soup, made with vegetables from Central School’s vege garden and beautiful baked fried bread, from Nanny Rachael Wells J
At least people will know where to look for Puanga and Matariki for themselves.

Nga mihi nui (big thanks)
Rachael J
